Most brain retraining curriculums do a lot of things right: they focus on threat detection, calming the stress response, pattern interruption, visualization, affirmations, and daily repetition framed as a “training process.”

But for many chronically ill and sensitized nervous systems, that approach can quietly backfire.

A heavy emphasis on discipline and repetition can unintentionally reinforce a narrow focus and stress state in the brain. Many people end up retraumatized by the shame of not seeing results because they feel they are “not doing it right” or “not doing enough.”

Open State Healing is different.

This weekly class is built on a missing truth: nervous system healing is actually simple. When we shift out of vigilant, narrow focus and into open focus states based on an embodied experience of mental spaciousness, we create dramatic shifts in brain waves — moving into alpha states, a prerequisite for deeper healing work.

This is not just another way to “calm down.”

It is a structured, supportive space to become mentally spacious enough for healing to occur — week after week.

Most programs teach people to interrupt fear.
Very few teach people how to embody wholeness.

Most retraining programs focus on:
“Stop the limbic alarm.”

This class focuses on:
“Become neurologically available for healing.”

It’s time to stop trying to heal from more effort — because effort activates sympathetic drive. Healing requires parasympathetic dominance and receptivity.

What if we learn to ALLOW healing instead of chasing it?

That’s the missing piece.

What We’ll Practice Each Week

Every session includes guided, experiential practices designed to build nervous system receptivity over time:

Move from narrow focus to open awareness
Spaciousness-based techniques to shift into alpha states and create immediate internal relief.

Interrupt the fear loop without force
Expanding perception and increasing cognitive flexibility — not trying to “think the right thoughts” while the body is resisting.

Effort less, receive more
Learning how over-efforting keeps the system activated, and how to shift into a receptive healing state.

Increase cognitive flexibility through ambiguity tolerance
Training the nervous system to sit with uncertainty without spiraling into threat.

Expand your self-image through embodied visualization + subtle alignment
Practicing identity-level transformation — who you are becoming, not just what you are stopping.

Compassion as the primary tool for regulation
Accessing open-heart states of awe, joy, and non-attachment — the felt experience of safety beyond cognitive override.

Surrender and release practices
Cultivating letting go, dissolving attachment, and softening control as foundational physiological mechanisms of healing.

What Makes This Different

  • Shift states, not symptoms.

  • Heal by releasing attachment to outcome.

  • Move from vigilant focus to open awareness.

  • Increase receptivity.

  • Compassion as regulation.

  • Identity shift as the primary driver of biology.

This is not neurological re-patterning through force.

This is neurological re-patterning through receptivity.

Over time, through weekly repetition in an open state — not a stressed one — you begin experiencing safety spontaneously, rather than repeatedly trying to manufacture it.
